Places to Visit in Atlanta, GA

Ponce City Market

If shopping, art, food, picturesque scenery, and people are your thing then this is the place for you! I was dumbfounded by my fondness of the place! With multiple food vendors, set up in their own quaint semi permanent spaces, there is something for everyone to eat. You can find bakeries, a tap room, COOKIE DOUGH, croughnuts, ramen, fish tacos, oysters, BBQ, good ol' fried chicken and more! (excuse my use of exclamation marks but I'm in love with this place so I must yell everything I'm writing)

Now on to the shopping, oh the stores they have... My, my, one could definintaly do some damage to their wallets. With so many amazing stores my eyes were just about dried up cause lord forbid I blink and miss something. The shops themselves were beautiful. Once you start flipping through the racks of clothes you'll decide you need a new wardrobe. And it just so happens everything in the shop is what you need for your wardrobe. From the most precious boutiques to custom leather makers selling wallets, there is a Christmas gift for everyone! Oh and to top it off as if the place weren't good enough you can stroll around the market with the Crowler (giant can of beer 32oz) you just bought from the Tap Room! The Tap Room is stocked with a vast selection of beers, cider, and even wine all on tap and ready to hit your lips and give you the courage to buy all the clothes your little heart desires! It doesn't end with just clothes you'll find everything from plants to flavored salts. Do yourself a favor and get lost in here!

Atlanta Beltline

Now if you've had enough of the market ( highly doubt it) you can hit the beltline with your Crowler in hand take a stroll on the beltline and discover all the reasons you shouldn't leave this amazing city! Catch local artists strumming a guitar, find a spot to do some yoga, rent a bike and ride to the nearest bar on the beltline to begin a bar hoping extravaganza! Or maybe just stroll hand in hand with whom ever makes you happiest with some gelato at your lips and your phone on standby to capture the amazing scenery you'd be crazy not to post about.

Papis Cuban & Caribbean Grill

One of the first Restaurants we came to was Papis, its reputation for good food and ambiance lured us in. We were not let down either. This is a seat yourself place which worked in our favor seemed we arrived right before the hustle and bustle. Although towards the end of our visit we had multiple hungry parties watching us, to make sure they can jump to our table before anyone else, which made things a little uncomfortable.. Aside from the that our experience was great. The Server was personable and informative. We ordered a mojito which was to die for! Muddled mint with lime no artificial taste just pure goodness. This is what I want every time I have a mojito!

We got the Cuban sampler for our appetizer our favorite from the sampler was the fried potato puff filled with seasoned ground beef. Papis sauce accompany's the sampler its a creamy white sauce that I could probably eat on its own! For my entree I had the grilled Tilapia Fillet served with yellow rice, black beans, salad, and plantains. I pride myself in being a professional bite maker and let me tell you the mixture of plantain bean, rice, and tilapia make the perfect bite. My husband ordered the Ropa Vieja Sandwich can't go wrong with shredded beef and Swiss.

I was tempted to order the Tres Leches cake but I was so stuffed there was no way I could take a bite. I can never find Tres Leches in any restaurants so I've made it a priority to go back just for the cake! I highly recommend this restaurant it has such an authentic vibe that sings through the decor, the food and service.

Auburn Market

If you're looking for an eclectic experience this is defiantly a place to visit! Fresh fruit, meat market, a Loose leaf tea shop, and a variety of food. We strolled around the market its not a big place so you won't feel overwhelmed. I got a snack at Arepa Mia, arepas are one of my favorite dishes so I was pleased to find someone selling them. I order a Cachaca, a traditional Venezuelan corn pancake topped with anything you want! Mine I opted for the veggie Cachaca with cilantro sauce! The savory sweet combo in latin foods is my favorite it's not like the typical chocolate covered pretzel type of savory sweet everyone is used to. It was delicious the corn pancake was crispy on the edges and fluffy throughout. Im glad we came to this market I will definitely come back here I have my eye on a vendor that sells smoothies and acai bowls.
